Into the summer, a lot of fruit farmers recently called the newspaper to consult whether orchards currently need irrigation. So when does fruit trees water? How to control the amount of irrigation? The reporter interviewed Wei Lixin, an agronomist from the Agricultural Technology Center of Heyang County, Shaanxi Province.
Master the law of water demand, and be aware of it
During the whole year, different organs of apple have different requirements for water in different growth periods. Taking the Fuji apple as an example, flooding the flooded trees before the dew-opening in late March will help improve the fruit setting rate and promote the growth of spring shoots. After the end of April to early May, after the drought, the weather can be poured between the plants. The water flow between the pouring lines is conducive to the formation of high-quality fruit with “shape and high pilesâ€. After the spring shoots stop in the middle of May, it controls the water for 30 to 40 days to create more fertilizer and less water, which is conducive to flower bud differentiation. Does not affect the young fruit development; July is the hottest season of the year. If there is no drought, no rain can be poured between the rows to ensure that the transpiration of the leaves and the development of young fruit on the dual needs of water; if the drought in the middle and late August No rain, a time when the fruit is inflated, the tree with a large amount of fruit can be adequately watered, which is conducive to fruit enlargement. Red Fuji apple has two expansion periods throughout the year, the first time from June 15 to July 15, and the second time from August 10 to August 30, during the rapid expansion of the two fruits, if the tree Stable, fruitful, drought-free, and poorly irrigated, top-fat irrigation allows the tree to "eat and drink," not only to strip, but also expand fruit, but also flowers.
The fertilizer referred to here refers to organic fertilizers, compound fertilizers, and bio-fertilizers, and should be properly matched to strive to achieve "organic-based, water-fertilizer coordination."
Five types of weak trees, should be life-saving water
1. Trees with weak vigor, small buds, and small, yellow leaves. This kind of tree is weak in drought resistance. Under conditions of continuous high temperature and drought, there is little vegetative growth and excessive reproductive growth.
2. If the leaves are small, the leaves are thin, and the trees grow early, there is no secondary growth. This kind of tree causes more causality, but lack of water in the ground can not maintain normal nutrient exchange and affect the function of the leaves.
3. There were many results in the previous year, and the nutritional loss was excessive. There were not many fruits throughout the year, but the leaves were yellow and there were trees with fallen leaves. Under such normal conditions, the tree vigor will be restored. However, in the absence of water in arid soils, nutrients cannot be transmitted normally, and tree vigor recovery is difficult, causing yellow leaves to fall off.
4. Trees with obvious water shortages along the sides of the ditch.
5. Excessive trees. After girdling of fruit trees, the water transported by the soil is lacking, and the up-and-down nutrition exchanges are seriously affected. If the air is dried at a high temperature, it will affect the healing of peeling.
