Doing the health work of dairy goats in different seasons is an important task to ensure the health of the flock.
(a) Spring health measures
1. Before lambing, all stables and sports grounds should be thoroughly cleaned and thoroughly cleaned.
2. Improve the survival rate of lambs. Eat enough colostrum, eat good regular milk; dry high temperature, pay attention to health; prevent umbilical corditis, lamb diarrhea, colds, pneumonia, contagious aphthous, infectious conjunctiva, keratitis and so on. And strengthen the cultivation of lambs.
3. Selenium-deficient areas Prenatal ewes or 5-10 months of lambs are injected with sodium selenite (or vitamin E) to prevent white muscle disease.
4. Strengthen prenatal and post-natal management. Prevent eczema abortion, postpartum paralysis, prevent edema, prevent endometritis and uterine and breast infections. Preventing postpartum swallowing of a placenta or overfeeding concentrates causes acidosis.
5. Postpartum should promote the recovery of ewes' body constitution. Milk should be hurried up at the peak of lactation, and attention should be paid to prevent the occurrence of mastitis.
6. The conversion of grazing to grazing should be carried out gradually and the hooves work should be carried out before grazing.
(b) Summer health measures
1. The whole group is deworming. Mainly to drive out liver fluke, aphids, bullheads, lung nematodes, cockroaches, coccidia and so on.
2. Strengthen the breeding and management of rams during non-breeding periods so that they can achieve their physical status.
3. Check the semen of the ram and the genitals of all weaned goats after weaning to eliminate old and weak sheep in time.
4. Do the heatstroke prevention work. Strengthen the cultivation and breeding of young sheep and provide sufficient clean drinking water.
5. For young goats, give enough quality hay and a small amount of fine material, exercise adequately to ensure its normal development. For the four-month-old male and female ewes, early mating should be prevented.
(iii) Fall health measures
1. Prevent Brucella and inject anthrax bacilli. The entire group repelled and took a medicinal bath.
2. The disinfection of the sheep house should be kept clean, moisture-proof and mosquito-proof. And provide sufficient clean drinking water during milk production.
3. Ensure that the ram is supplied with enough protein, exercised properly, reasonably utilized, and weighed with rams, semen quality, and fertility rates.
4. Pay attention to the estrus of the ewes and match them in time to prevent them from being missed.
5. Repair windows and doors, block wind tunnels, and safely pass winter.
(four) winter health measures
1. Injected sheep enterotoxemia, sheep epidemic, triple bacterin vaccine.
2. Ensure adequate clean drinking water.
3. Emphasis on feeding and management of dry ewes to ensure the ewes health, in order to help ensure the normal development of the fetus.
4. Prepare prenatal preparation work, check the pre-production period, give 3-5 days before delivery, and allow the delivery ewes to enter the delivery room and prepare for confinement.
