Control the occurrence and damage of leafhoppers in greenhouses

According to a recent survey conducted by the city's vegetable monitoring stations, the greenhouses of tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, watermelons, and other crops have been damaged by leafhoppers of varying degrees. The young shoots of some crops have been covered with nets and the leaves have turned white.

After identification, the species of leafhoppers is mainly two-leafhoppers. It has a wide range of distribution and a wide variety of host species. It has occurred in the Beijing area for more than 10 generations a year. It absorbs sap from the back of the leaves and leaves white spots after the damage. As damage worsens, the entire leaf turns gray and normal photosynthesis is suppressed. Two-spotted spider mites have strong silky nets that accumulate inhabiting characteristics, and sometimes netting can coat entire leaves.

The optimum temperature for the growth and development of the two-spotted spider mite was 29°C-31°C, and the optimum relative humidity was 35%-55%. This summer's high temperature and low humidity favored its occurrence and damage. In order to avoid the infestation of crops and spreading to the surrounding greenhouses by the two-spotted spider mites, the following prevention and control measures should be taken:

1. Clear the weeds in the fields and sheds at any time. After the harvest is completed, thoroughly clean the garden, remove the fallen leaves, concentrate on the high-temperature stacking and fermentation, and deepen the vegetable fields to reduce the insect source and reduce the damage; balance the fertilization, reasonable pouring Water, especially during drought, should be watered in time to improve the plant's resistance to damage.

2. Use 0.5% veratridine solution, 25 g/L lambda-cyhalothrin EC, and 240 g/L insecticidal nitrile suspension agent to prevent and cure. Pay attention to rotation and delay drug resistance.
