Oxygen permeability test:
Labthink's VAC-V1 differential pressure gas permeation instrument was selected and tested under conditions of 23 ± 2 ° C, 50 ± 5% RH. The film was cut into a circular sample with a diameter of 90 mm. The sample was placed in the lower chamber of the VAC-V1 test, gently flattened with a finger, and the handle was lowered to lower the upper chamber. Turn on the vacuum pump and start the test. At this time, the upper chamber is a flowing high-purity oxygen, and the lower chamber is a vacuum. Oxygen is permeated from the upper chamber through the sample to the lower chamber due to the pressure difference across the sample. The oxygen transmission rate of the sample can be calculated by testing the pressure of the lower chamber. The VAC-V1 differential pressure gas permeation instrument is controlled by computer and the operation is very simple.
Moisture permeability test:
The moisture permeability test selected the W3/0120 water vapor transmission rate tester. During the test, the film was cut into a circular sample with a diameter of 74 mm. Before placing the sample in the moisture permeable cup, it could be placed in the support frame to avoid the sample being too soft to touch the water surface. Place the moisture permeable cup containing the sample into the instrument and start the test. The water vapor transmission rate of the sample was calculated by systematically weighing the change in the weight of the moisture permeable cup before and after the test. The test conditions were 38 ° C, 90% RH, and the test interval was set to 30 min.
Since the fruit protective film is generally thin, the thickness is about 10-20 microns. If the sample is not smoothed, wrinkles are likely to occur, resulting in incorrect test results.
Result analysis:
From the test results, the oxygen permeability of the polyethylene protective film varies between 2000 and 70,000 cm 3 /m 2.24 h.0.1 MPa, and the moisture permeability is between 30 and 40 g / m 2.24 h.
