The time of scrubbing and massage should not be too long, generally not more than 3 minutes.
Using two-handed fists to squeeze the milk, first use the thumb and forefinger to close the base of the nipple and block the hole between the nipple cavity and the nipple to prevent milk from flowing back. Then lightly and forcefully press the middle finger, the ring finger, and the small pointing palm in turn to promote the discharge of milk. After each squeeze and squeeze the milk, the thumb and forefinger immediately relax, then re-grip, so that the rhythm of the grip and loose, repeated. When operating, hold the two nipples in both hands, the movement should be light and agile, the grip strength should be uniform, the speed should be consistent, and alternate. For individual ewes with short nipples and incapable of squeezing, the nipple can be squeezed by the thumb and forefinger, and the milk can be squeezed from top to bottom to squeeze out the milk.
Milking speed is fast
Generally, it is suitable for 80 to 100 times per minute. It takes about 3 to 4 minutes to squeeze a sheep.
Every time you milk, you must squeeze the milk clean. If you don't squeeze it, the remaining milk is easy to induce mastitis, and it will reduce the milk production and shorten the lactation period.
Appropriate increase in milking frequency The speed and amount of milk secretion is negatively correlated with intramammary pressure. That is, the smaller the intra-abdominal pressure, the faster and more the lactation of the breast. Therefore, increasing the number of milking and reducing the internal pressure of the breast can increase the lactation speed and increase the milk production. According to estimates, high-yield dairy sheep, under good feeding and management conditions, can be squeezed twice a day to increase milk production by 20% to 30%, and three times a day can be increased by 12% to 15%. Usually squeezed twice a day, high-yield sheep should be squeezed 3 times as well.
Milking must be done three times a day, time, place, and venue, not easy to change. In addition, the milking environment must remain quiet.
Carefully check your breasts every time you milk
If the nipple is cracked, broken or breast redness, heat pain, blood in the milk or floc should be found in time, timely treatment. After each milking, the nipple should be soaked to prevent mastitis. After each milk is squeezed, you can use 1% iodine solution or 0.5% to 1% chlorhexidine or sodium hypochlorite solution to soak the nipple.
To dry milk at the right time
In order to make the ewes timely supplement the body's nutrition and ensure the normal growth and development of the fetus, it is conducive to high yield in the next lactation period. According to the estrus and age of the ewes, the ewes are pregnant for 2 to 3 months, that is, before the birth. Stop milking for ~3 months. And through the nipple injection of 800,000 units of penicillin, can effectively prevent the occurrence of mastitis during dry period.
