Since the rise of VR, many people have been exploring new ways of human-computer interaction, and using gestures as input is a more natural way. In order to achieve gesture recognition, many people adopt image-based methods, such as Leap Motion, ThisVR, Ingeji, etc., and Beech Innovation from Xi'an chooses another way: EMG.
Beech's innovative product, DTing, is based on surface muscle electrical signal recognition technology. It recognizes the static movement of the fingers and wrists by accommodating the electrical movements generated by the muscles through the eight-channel electrode sheets. The motion data, the combination of the two identifies the spatial motion and gesture of the arm. The recognized operation is completed in the built-in CPU of DTing, and the recognition result is sent to the corresponding device via Bluetooth.
Founder Li Wei said that the current DTing prototype has involved more than 20 gestures, and the recognition accuracy is over 90%. It has been able to connect open drones with Bluetooth interface and Bluetooth-connected remote control toys. In addition to Bluetooth, DTing's communication interface can be replaced and customized according to the needs of industry companies' docking solutions. He said that DTing can be used in AR, VR interaction, desktop, mobile gesture operation, robot, robotic arm control, home game console, smart TV gesture operation, mechanical exoskeleton sensing and other fields. Recently, Big Bang VR has combined OYMotion and used the armband as the input method of VR.
Regarding the positioning of DTing products, Li Wei said that DTing will be positioned as a thousand-yuan electronic consumer goods, which is divided into versions for ordinary consumers and developers. For ordinary consumers, the version will be docked as much as possible for consumers. . Beyond DTing, Beechcraft Innovation will also provide manufacturers with customized mobile gesture interaction solutions, docking for electromyography (motion detection and medical rehabilitation) and the needs of the disabled prosthetic field.
Compared with the image recognition method, Li Wei said that the advantages of DTing are mainly three aspects. One is that the device is independent, the calculation is completed in the device, and the computing resources of the receiving object are not occupied. Second, the use is not limited, and the image needs It can be recognized in a certain angle of view in front of the eyes, and DTing does not have such a restriction. As long as the finger is doing the action, it can be recognized. Third, it is not easily affected by illumination, occlusion, etc., and the image is crossed, occluded, and the light is too strong. When it is too weak, it will be affected.
The DTing project was launched in October 2014. In November 2015, Beech Innovations was established. The company currently has about 20 people. Founder Li Wei was responsible for the development of the control part of the astronaut ground training system at the German Aerospace and Space Research Institute, namely the related research and development of the wearable gesture recognition part, which is also the source of the core technology of the product. Other members include the world's top three project leaders in the field of communications, engineers who have participated in the "Tianhe" computer research and development, and bio-electric R&D personnel from well-known domestic universities. The company is in Xi'an High-tech Zone. It has previously received investment from a fund of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. After more than a month, the company has invested in a million dollar angel investment in Beijing Oriental Lions.
Previously, there was also a myoelectric armband MYO in foreign countries, which caused a lot of attention and was shipped last year.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in mammals, accounting for 25% to 30% of the total protein. It is widely present in all tissues from the body surface of lower vertebrates to mammalian bodies. Collagen monomers are long cylindrical proteins with a length of about 280 nm and a diameter of 1.4–1.5 nm. It consists of 3 polypeptide chains that are supercoiled around each other.
