CNET reporters at the University of California at Berkeley tested a new recognition technology called "Passthought," which uses brain waves to "read" the tester's "thoughts." The first test is to wear a black electrode tip tape, one end of which is a connector, fixed to the tester's forehead, and the other end is fixed to the earlobe. The electrode tip tape transmits the electronic signal "received" from the brain in the test to the side. On the computer, after analysis and processing, the tester's thoughts can be read. In fact, John Chuang, a professor at the University of California at Berkeley's BioSENSE lab, and his students have been studying the technology of identity verification through brain waves for the past three years.
