The world's first robotic surgeon to achieve a successful heart surgery without open chest surgery

According to reports, the New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, England, carried out the world's first robotic knife-led heart surgery and was successful. The 22-year-old British girl who was undergoing surgery by a robotic surgeon was recovering and had no scar on her body, leaving only a 1 cm hole.

During the operation, the robot does not actually think about how to move the knife, but is controlled remotely by the surgeon. Surgeon Bahara said that robotic surgery is expensive, and that the robot's four arms are replaced after 10 surgical procedures, and each costs £2,000.

The patient was a 22-year-old Natalie Jones from West Midlands, England, and the entire procedure lasted for 9 hours. Traditional heart surgery requires cutting the breastplate first, but the robot's arm can be cut into the patient's ribs for surgery. It is said that the doctor moves the control instrument 3 mm and the robot arm moves only 1 mm.

At present, the quality and quantity of robotic cardiac surgery in China is at the leading level in the world.
