Early spring rapeseed "four shortages" timely remedy

In the rape field stage in early spring, due to improper fertilization during planting and transplanting or lack of certain nutrient elements in the soil, the rapeseed grows poorly. If no remedial measures are taken in time, the yield will be affected.

In the absence of nitrogen in nitrogen-deficient rapeseed, the leaves are yellow, weak in growth, and the plants are short. In general, nitrogen deficiency and red leaves are prone to appear when drought and fertilizer are released. Remedy: Apply 7.5 kg urea per acre, or 15-20 kg of ammonium bicarbonate water 500 to 700 kg.

Second, phosphorus-deficient rape plant phosphorus deficiency, growth is slow and dwarf, leaves become smaller, leaf thickening, leaf color dark green or gray-green, lack of luster. Petiole purple, purple veins spots or plaques. The leaves were 2 to 3 fewer than the normal plants. The bolting was slow and the moss color was red. Remedy: Apply 25 to 30 kg of superphosphate per acre, or apply 2 to 3 consecutive doses of potassium dihydrogen phosphate.

3. Potassium-deficient rapeseed begins with the old leaves and develops towards the new leaves. It initially has yellow spots. There are “focal edges” and pale brown spots on the tip and leaf margins. The leaves become thicker, harder, and more brittle. The mesophyll tissue was obviously "scald," followed by wilting. These tissues remain brown after they die. Remedial measures: Apply 7.5~10 kg of potassium chloride per acre to water 500~700 kg per application, or blend in 100~150 kg of plant ash.

Fourth, boron-deficient rapeseed has a large demand for boron fertilizer, but the amount of boron in the soil is less, so rape is most likely to lack boron. The boron-deficient plant roots ceased to grow, with no root hairs and lateral roots, some with small nodules, and the root bark turning brown. Purple patches or blue-purple patches appeared on the leaves, leaf margins were recurved, and rhizomes were enlarged. Boron deficiency during flowering will appear "flower but not real", which means that after flowering, there is no scarring. Remedial measures: 150-200 grams of borax per acre watered 150 to 200 kg of water, or borax 50 to 100 grams of water 50 kg selected sunny afternoon foliar spray.
